Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the effect of job burnout on the quality of work life among the healthcare staff at the Public Hospital “Toubaal Said and Ammar Brothers” in Mila. To achieve this objective, a questionnaire was used as a data collection tool, and it was distributed to a sample of 64 individuals. Afterward, the data were analyzed using the descriptive-analytical method with the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS V24).The study found that there is an inverse relationship between job burnout and the quality of work life, such that as the level of job burnout increases, the level of quality of work life decreases.The study also recommended that the hospital administration should pay attention to improving working conditions and reducing the professional pressures faced by employees, especially those related to emotional exhaustion, as well as encouraging positive communication and human relations within the institution, in a way that enhances the spirit of cooperation and professional belonging
