| Abstract: | Enhancing literary reading among EFL learners requires the application of effective strategies to facilitate the process of deciphering meaning. Note-taking is one of the learning strategies that can be employed by students to improve literary reading. This study aims to demonstrate the role of note-taking in improving EFL students’ reading of literary texts. Third year students of English at Mila University were used as a case study. Our sample consists of 99 students who were randomly selected. The research question formulated for this study is: Does the use of note-taking enhance third year EFL students’ literary reading? In an attempt to answer the research question, a questionnaire was designed and targeted to third year EFL students. The research findings reveal that note-taking strategy is important for enhancing third year EFL students’ literary reading at Mila University. |
| Description: | Pour améliorer la lecture littéraire chez les apprenants de l’anglais langue étrangère (EFL), il est nécessaire de mettre en oeuvre des stratégies efficaces visant à faciliter le processus de compréhension du sens. La prise de notes est l’une des stratégies d’apprentissage que les étudiants peuvent utiliser pour développer leurs ompétences en lecture littéraire. Cette étude vise à démontrer le rôle de la prise de notes dans l’amélioration de la lecture littéraire des étudiants EFL. Des étudiants de troisième année en anglais de l’université de Mila ont servi de groupe d’étude. Notre échantillon est composé de 99 étudiants sélectionnés au hasard. La question de recherche formulée pour cette étude est la suivante : la prise de notes améliore-t80 elle la lecture littéraire des étudiants de troisième année en anglais langue étrangère ? Afin de répondre à cette question, un questionnaire a été conçu et destiné aux étudiants de troisième année en anglais langue étrangère. Les résultats de la recherche révèlent que la stratégie de prise de notes est importante pour améliorer la lecture littéraire des étudiants de troisième année EFL à l’université de Mila. |
