Abstract

In this thesis, we investigated the topic of "Semantic Topics in the Work of Sabir Al-Habasha," highlighting how the researcher invested modern linguistic methods and applied them procedurally to the Arabic language. The first chapter included a set of issues represented in the conceptual treatment of semantics and meaning, tracing semantic phenomena between the ancient and the modern, and between proponents and opponents, as well as presenting various semantic theories, leading to a review of semantic topics among modern linguists. As for the second chapter, it was dedicated to exploring the dimensions of the semantic approach in the work of Sabir Al-Habasha through three axes: cognitive semantics, semantics and argumentation, and verbal polysemy.The study concluded that the semantic topics in the work of Sabir Al-Habasha, with their cognitive, argumentative, and pragmatic dimensions, did not stop at the limits of theoretical transmission, but rather formed an integrated analytical framework that succeeded in deconstructing the structure of the Arabic language and explaining the mechanisms of meaning production and formation through these contemporary semantic perspectives.
