Abstract

This study addresses the topic of "introduction to rhetorical books in the abbasid era".it aims to explore the way scholars of rhetoric composed the introductions to theire works, considering the introduction as the first thres hold encountered by the reader before reaching the main text. The study adopted the descriptive-analytical method through reading and analyzing a number of introductions to rhetorical books and examinining their most significant contents. The study concluded that these introductions were not merely formal openings,but rather served as a roadmap guiding the reader to ward understanding the content, scientific orientation,and methodological approach of the book.
