dc.description	The study in this research involves: “The Aesthetics of Metanarrative in the Novel ‘Days of Alienation and the Wasps of Ain Kawa’” by the Algerian writer Rachid Bouchair. In this work, the author employs postmodern techniques in novel writing, represented by the metanarrative play that disrupts the narrative within the non-novel. This is achieved through the writer’s movement between the novel, a parallel story, and the construction of the writing process itself. The metanarrative here is a self-aware and narcissistic discourse that reflects upon itself. The author relies on metanarrative mechanisms to produce a literary work marked by distinction and uniqueness. The poetics of metanarrative in this novel are manifested through the fragmentation of identity and plot, as well as through the presence of the reader and intertextuality	en_US
