dc.description	This research examines the issue of language in Algeria and the ongoing conflict over identity, through an analysis of Abdelkader Fadel’s book Language and the Battle for Identity In Algeria, The central idea is that language is not merely a means of communication, but rather the culture and history of the country and a symbol of sovereignty; the study shows that French colonialism sought to erase Algerian identity by imposing its own language, and that this conflict continued even after independence between supporters of the Arabic language, seeking to restore its status, and its opponents, who clung to French. Ultimately, the study concluded that there must be a language policy and language planning that restore the status of the national language, whilst at the same time keeping us open to other languages )	en_US
dc.description.abstract	يعالج هذا البحث قضية اللغة في الجزا ئر والصرا ع الحاصل على الهوية، من خلال قراءة لكتاب عبد القادر فضيل "اللغة ومعركة الهوية في الجزا ئر" والفكرة الأساسية منه هي أن اللغة ليست وسيلة للتواصل فقط بل هي ثقافة وتاريخ البلاد ورمز السيادة، فالد را سة تبين أن الاستعمار الفرنسي عمل على طمس الشخصية الجزا ئرية من خلال فرض لغته، وهذا الصرا ع ظل مستمرا حتى بعد الاستقلال بين مؤيدين للغة العربية لاسترجاع قيمتها وبين معارضين لها متمسكين بالفرنسية، وفي الأخير الد را سة خلصت إلى أنه يجب أن تكون سياسة لغوية وتخطيط لغوي يرجعان الاعتبار للغة الوطنية، وفي الوقت نفسه يجعلنا متفتحين على لغات أخرى.	en_US
