Abstract

This study focuses on exploring the manifestations of ideological conflict in its various dimensions in the novel "Wamis" by the novelist Nour Eddine Drouiche. It is a novel that chronicles a pivotal period in modern Algerian history, specifically the "Black Decade" and the transformations that followed, leading up to the popular movement. The novel stands out as an artistic vessel for the conflicting ideas between diverse intellectual and political currents, reflecting the clash between the authority of the "big man" and the ideology of change and resistance carried by the intellectual.This thesis examines the study "Manifestations of Ideological Conflict in the Novel 'Wamees' by Nour El-Din Darwish." The study is divided into two chapters: the first chapter is the theoretical framework of the concepts of conflict and ideology, and the second chapter is the practical aspect, the manifestations of ideological conflict in the novel. The novel is an elegy for a generation lost between the dreams of childhood and the reality of war and violence, but it carries a message of hope in reclaiming identity and victory
