This study examines the novel Gaza78 by Yusri Al-Ghoul, a contemporary novel characterized by a realistic political dimension. Through this research, an attempt is made to explore the manifestations of the Self and the Other, as well as to understand the nature of the relationship established between them. The novel is dominantly marked by the conflict between Palestinians and Zionists, while simultaneously presenting rare representations of human coexistence. In this work, Yusri Al-Ghoul employs the novelistic form to provide profound portrayals of the Palestinian Self, depicting it as an entity experiencing a state of division and internal fragmentation. In contrast, the Israeli Other is portrayed as exercising dominance and hegemony driven by a desire for control. As a result, a dialectical relationship emerges between the Self and the Other, manifested through two principal forms : a relationship of conflict and a relationship of coexistence.en_US
