Description: This bibliographic review focuses on antibody production and its importance in therapeutic and diagnostic applications. Antibodies are highly specific immunological molecules widely used in biomedical research, disease diagnosis, and targeted treatments. Advances in biotechnology and antibody engineering have considerably improved antibody production methods and expanded their biomedical applications. This S presents the structure, classification, and immunological mechanisms of antibodies, as well as the principal technologies used for the production of polyclonal, monoclonal, and recombinant antibodies. Different production strategies, expression systems, purification techniques, and quality control procedures are also reviewed in order to evaluate antibody specificity, stability, and analytical performance. In addition, this review highlights the therapeutic applications of antibodies in immunotherapy, oncology, autoimmune diseases, and infectious diseases. It also examines their role in diagnostic and analytical techniques such as ELISA, Western blotting, immunofluorescence assays, immunohistochemistry, and rapid diagnostic tests.Special attention is given to the current challenges associated with antibody production, including standardization, reproducibility, production costs, analytical reliability, and large-scale manufacturing. Finally, future perspectives related to antibody engineering, local production, and the development of biotechnological diagnostic systems are discussed
