Abstract: Spontaneous abortion is the loss of a pregnancy before full term; it is one of the most common complications of pregnancy, particularly during the first trimester. It results from an interaction between genetic, hormonal, immune, and psychological factors that can influence the continuation of the pregnancy. This study focuses on spontaneous abortions, with a particular emphasis on early spontaneous abortions occurring before the 12th week of gestation. It aims to evaluate certain biochemical and hormonal markers associated with the occurrence of a miscarriage, particularly during the first trimester of pregnancy, by comparing a group of women who have experienced a miscarriage to a control group of women who carried their pregnancies to term. The study was conducted using a set of biological markers, including vitamin D and ferritin levels, as well as changes in certain blood parameters such as red and white blood cells, and hormonal variations such as TSH The findings reveal that spontaneous abortion is associated with biological, hormonal, and psychological factors that vary from one patient to another. These findings highlight the importance of the interaction between physiological, endocrine, and neuropsychological factors in the occurrence of miscarriage and its onsequences, confirming the importance of medical and psychological follow-up for pregnant women to improve healthcare and reduce potential complications
