Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of the functional integration between Financial Technology (Fintech) and Blockchain technology on the efficiency of international supply chains. The research seeks to determine the effectiveness of this digital integration in supporting the sustainability of global trade finance and overcoming challenges posed by traditional systems. To achieve this objective, the study adopted a descriptive-analytical approach, focusing on a critical case study and structural analysis of the digital platform Contour, thereby providing an applied model for the mechanisms of this integration.The study yielded several key findings, most notably that the integration of Fintech and Blockchain contributes to generating synergistic economic added value that surpasses the individual capabilities of each technology, primarily through the automation of credit processes and the enhancement of financial inclusion. Furthermore, the results revealed that failures encountered by global digital platforms, such as Contour, are predominantly attributable to strategic and regulatory deficiencies rather than technological impediments. Based on these findings, the study proposes a set of recommendations, including the necessity of developing flexible, internationally unified regulatory frameworks to support sandbox environments for technical integration, as well as redesigning business models in the trade finance sector to ensure a seamless and secure flow of liquidity and information across complex supply chains.
