This study examines the legal and judicial mechanisms established by the Algerian legislator to combat the growing phenomenon of carrying "white weapons" (bladed weapons), in light of Law No. 25-14 issued in August 2025 regarding criminal procedures. The significance of this research lies in its attempt to resolve the conceptual ambiguity surrounding "white weapons" and to define the objective and subjective criteria relied upon by criminal judges to establish criminal intent or recognize a "legitimate justification." Drawing on a descriptive-analytical approach to legal texts, supplemented by a field study (including a public survey and an interview with a legal practitioner), the research measures the effectiveness of the new penal policy in achieving a balance between "public security requirements" and "individual liberties." The findings indicate that Law No. 25-14 has strengthened the powers of the judicial police and provided greater flexibility in crime classification. However, the study concludes that there is an urgent need to unify judicial precedents regarding aggravating and mitigating circumstances related to the possession of bladed weaponsen_US
