| dc.description | Drug and psychotropic substance crimes receive widespread attention for combating them, as they have become a priority for countries worldwide due to their seriousness at all levels (social, economic, and political). This has prompted the international community to unify its efforts through the conclusion of multilateral treaties and agreements, the establishment of specialized international organizations and bodies to combat them, and the enactment of laws related to combating and preventing drug and psychotropic substance crimes, including criminalization and punishment, in addition to integrated preventive and therapeutic measures. Therefore, our study of drug and psychotropic substance crimes in light of Law 25-03 aims, firstly, to clarify the nature and definition of drugs and psychotropic substances, their classification, characteristics, reasons for their spread, and the elements of these crimes. Secondly, it addresses the mechanisms for combating drug and psychotropic substance crimes in Law 25-03, represented by methods of combating these crimes at the international and national levels, as well as through the establishment of special procedural rules for their prosecution and the imposition of severe penalties commensurate with their severity for the perpetrators. | en_US |
