| Abstract: | This dissertation aims to study the extent to which the legal framework governing business incubators in Algeria contributes to providing an effective environment for supporting startups, by highlighting the various legal texts that regulate the conditions for their establishment and management mechanisms, in a manner that ensures the provision of their services within an organized legal framework. The study also addresses university usiness incubators under Decision 1275, taking the business incubator of University of Mila as a case study, relying on the descriptive-analytical method and the case study approach. The results of the study showed that business incubators in Algeria, despite the recent nature of their experience, have contributed to supporting startups and enhancing economic development, especially university incubators, whose role has emerged in accompanying innovative student projects. However, these projects still face several difficulties, particularly with regard to financing procedures. Accordingly, the study recommends the necessity of simplifying financing procedures in a manner consistent with the specific nature and needs of startups. |
