In recent years, Algeria has witnessed significant reforms in the field of legal mechanisms, aimed at curbing corruption crimes and promoting the principles of transparency and integrity.Within this framework, the National Authority for the Prevention and Combating of Corruption was established, reflecting Algeria's commitment to relevant international and regional conventions, as well as aligning with national legislation—particularly Law No. 06- 01 on the Prevention and Combating of Corruption, as amended and supplemented. However, the practical application of the legal system governing this authority revealed certain shortcomings and imbalances that hindered the achievement of the desired results. Consequently, the legislator introduced the High Authority for Transparency, Prevention, and Combating of Corruption under Law No. 22-08, which defines its rganization, composition, and prerogatives, aiming to achieve the highest indicators of integrity and transparency in the management of public affairs.en_US
