And how did Al-Sharif Al-Adraa employ the folkloric character of Juha as an artistic channel to convey the critical and educational message? What are the artistic and linguistic techniques the writer relied on to achieve the play’s primary function? To what extent did the play succeed in achieving a balance between the entertainment aspect and the intellectual-educational dimension without compromising the dramatic structure?.This research adopted the thematic method because it is the most suitable for uncovering the functions of theater through its artistic means in the play Juha.Among the most important results reached: The study concluded that the play used the character of Juha as a satirical channel to critique negative phenomena in society—such as authority, ignorance, opportunism, theft, deprivation of rights, and the revival of heritage with a contemporary function—where the author reshaped heritage to address present-day issues, and Juha became a symbol of resistance through wit and laughter. The dialogue, events, and characters were a symbolic conflict used to highlight the critical and educational function of the work. We focused on the category of middle school students, and we tried to highlight the effect of these texts on language achievement.Based on the opinions of professors and our analysis of the texts, the research concluded that the second generation texts are more effective in students’ achievement from several angles, including: thematic and stylistic diversity, and in terms of performance and use of language. This does not negate the positives of the first generation, which focused on choosing topics that develop culture and proper language acquisition, are purposeful and rich in vocabulary that enriches the linguistic repertoire, and the texts are carefully selected and full of human values.Therefore, each generation had its advantages and disadvantages. While the texts of the second generation were more effective in language acquisition in several aspects, the texts of the first generation surpassed them in terms of literary and artistic merit, as well as social and religious values.In conclusion, we can deduce that the texts of the second generation came to develop reading texts by simplifying the language and ompensating for the shortcomings of the first generation, thus reflecting the development of the educational system. The study aimed to clarify the issue of memorizing grammatical texts in teaching the Arabic language in the Chinguetti traditional schools (Mahadras). We concluded that memorizing poetic grammatical compositions constitutes a fundamental pillar in preserving linguistic correctness, and that the success of Ibn Buna’s method is due to precise mechanisms including wooden boards, collective repetition, and phonetic representation to connect the rule with practical evidence. This approach achieved a unique balance between theoretical understanding and continuous practical application. It introduces Muhammad Kazim al-Bakka', outlining his scholarly efforts and works. It then addresses the concept of textual criticism and its importance in preserving and safeguarding classical texts. The chapter also discusses Sibawayh's book in terms of its status and scholarly value, considering it one of the most prominent foundational sources for Arabic grammatical studies. This serves as a prelude to studying al-Bakka's methodology in editing this book.The second chapter was also devoted to studying Muhammad Kazim Al-Bakka’s methodology in verifying Sibawayh’s book, by explaining the reasons that prompted him to re-verify the book, and explaining his method in dealing with manuscripts and choosing copies. It also addressed his methodology in controlling the text and organizing paragraphs and his attention to footnotes, comments and references, in addition to his method in documenting the Qur’anic, Hadith and poetic evidence and quotations.
