Description: Defining antonyms in school dictionaries plays a significant role as an effective technique for learning concepts for early learners. This importance lies in facilitating the acquisition of vocabulary and concepts and enriching the linguistic vocabulary. Defining antonyms helps distinguish words and consolidate their meanings. In this study, we focused on introducing this technique from a theoretical perspective. As for the practical aspect, we worked on demonstrating its presence in school textbooks and its importance. Description: Cette étude analyse les manifestations de la dystopie à Zenkat Al-Talian, un quartier populaire de la ville d'Annaba, représentatif de nombreux quartiers populaires d'Algérie et du Maghreb, confrontés à la réalité tragique de la fragilité des constructions léguer par le système colonial, ainsi que de la pauvreté, de la magie, de la sorcellerie et de la drogue .e romancier Boumediene Belkebir a présenté ce lieu et le mode de vie de ses habitants, leurs coutumes et leurs traditions, généralement considérées comme une manifestation de la dystopie, car elles expriment la pauvreté, les maux sociaux, la fragilité du système urbain et leur recours à la magie pour affronter la réalité. Même les rêves des habitants de Zenkat Al-Talian sont menacés d'extinction et de destruction. Il s'agit d'une réalité dystopique par excellence qui a affecté les personnages principaux et secondaires de ce roman, malgré leurs différences culturelles .Cependant, l'environnement, ou « Zenkat Al-Talian », les a affectés de manière dystopique, considérant ce lieu comme une zone marginale. It holds significant value in grammatical and rhetorical studies. Classical linguists gave it considerable attention, and modern scholars have continued in their footsteps, emphasizing the importance of this unique linguistic feature. This phenomenon contributes to enhancing the elegance and aesthetic appeal of syntactic structures by altering the positions of sentence elements—such as placing the object before the verb and subject, the predicate before the subject, or advancing prepositional phrases.The aim of this study is to highlight the significance of this phenomenon from both grammatical and rhetorical perspectives, as well as to assess the extent to which fourth-year middle school students understand and can apply it in their writing and expressions. Our findings show that these students generally lack strong proficiency in employing this phenomenon in their integrative writing tasks. Their understanding is partial at best, and they tend to use it only when explicitly required to do so in writing exercises.
