Résumé: The study of chaos control and synchronization has made significant progress over the past few decades. It is due to their use in various sectors such as communication protection, biological systems, and, more recently, in the epidemiological field that their scope is so broad. Thus, we have presented various control techniques as well as different forms of synchronization. In this work, we aim To attain complete synchronization and anti-synchronization of the SIR model, various control methods will be implemented, including active control, aptive
control, backstepping, and sliding mode. Next, we conduct a comparative analysis of these methods to identify the most effective one among them.

Description: This thesis studies a numerical approach for solving linear two-dimensional delay partialaVolterra integro-differential equations. A collocation method based on Taylor polynomials is developed to approximate the solution on a spatial domain defined piecewise. The proposed scheme computes the approximation coefficients iteratively without the need to solve large systems of algebraic equations. A theoretical analysis establishes the global convergence of the method under appropriate smoothness assumptions. Numerical examples are presented to demonstrate the efficiency and accuracy of the proposed method.

Résumé: In oligopolistic markets, firms offer homogeneous or differentiated products. The Cournot and Bertrand models are the two classical frameworks used to describe competition in such markets. In the Cournot model, firms maximize their profits by choosing production quantities while taking their competitors’ decisions into account. In the Bertrand model, firms maximize their profits by choosing prices while considering the pricing strategies of their competitors. The aim of this thesis is to develop and analyze discrete time oligopoly models based on realistic assumptions regarding firms’ expectations and bounded rationality. The qualitative behavior of these models is investigated using stability and bifurcation theory. Particular attention is devoted to the emergence
of complex dynamics, including periodic oscillations and chaotic behavior, resulting from variations in key model parameters. Several numerical tools, including bifurcation diagrams, phase portraits, and Lyapunov exponents, are employed to characterize the system dynamics and identify transitions from stability to chaos. Finally, different chaos control strategies are implemented to suppress unstable and chaotic trajectories and stabilize economically meaningful equilibria, thereby improving the predictability and reliability of the proposed models.

Résumé: This thesis is devoted to the development of Taylor collocation method for a class of Volterra-type problems, including linear delay Volterra integral equations, and Volterra integro-differential equations with two constant delays. Such models naturally arise in many applied fields, including population dynamics, epidemiology, iscoelasticity, control theory, and systems with memory effects, where hereditary phenomena and time delays
play a crucial role. The solution is approximated by piecewise Taylor polynomials on each subinterval, leading to an explicit and direct numerical scheme. A key advantage of the method is that it avoids the solution of large algebraic systems, which significantly reduces computational cost and enhances numerical stability. The coefficients of the local Taylor expansions are computed recursively using the governing equations, ensuring a consistent and globally defined approximation. A rigorous convergence analysis is carried out under ppropriate smoothness assumptions on the data. Using discrete Grönwall-type inequalities, it is shown that the proposed
method converges. Several numerical experiments are presented to validate the theoretical results and to illustrate the accuracy, and efficiency of the method for different delay configurations.
